At 08:30, guests are met at Kazungula by their guide and escorted through immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow with essential information, including safety protocols and regional insights.
At 09:30, you’ll board the boat for a 3-hour river cruise into the renowned Chobe National Park. This river cruise is a highlight of the trip, offering a chance to see abundant wildlife up close, including fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and herds of elephants and Cape buffalo as they make their way to the river to drink. The boat cruise concludes at 12:30.
After a hearty lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge, guests will embark on an afternoon game drive—the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores like elephants, giraffes, and antelopes as they gather by the river. The day concludes shortly after sunset, with drinks around the campfire and dinner under the African stars.
The day begins at dawn with the sound of a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good morning) and warm water prepared for your morning wash. After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light breakfast, you’ll head off on an early morning game drive. This is the prime time to spot the big cats, including lions, as they are still active.
After your morning safari, you’ll return to camp for a “bush brunch” and a relaxing siesta. Use this time to rest, read, or take a refreshing shower. When the day cools off, a second game drive follows afternoon tea, revisiting earlier wildlife sightings or exploring new areas of the park. Chobe is famous for its variety of wildlife, with highlights including elephants, buffalo, lions, and rarer species such as Puku and Roan antelope.
The day ends with dinner and a reflective chat around the campfire, accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.
Your final day begins with another early wake-up call and breakfast. Guests will enjoy one last morning game drive as they leave the national park. This final drive may offer some of the best sightings yet, leaving you with lasting memories of an extraordinary African safari experience.
Guests will be dropped off at Kasane or Kazungula borders by 08:30.
