Day One
At 08:30, your guide will meet you at the Kazungula border/ferry. After a warm welcome and a brief safety orientation, he will assist you with Botswana immigration formalities. Following a 15-minute road transfer, you will arrive at Chobe Safari Lodge to begin your 3-hour boat cruise on the Chobe River.
A short briefing will cover essential information such as safety procedures, local flora and fauna, and regional facts. You will also be required to complete an indemnity form and a government park registration form. The boat cruise will depart at 09:30 into Chobe National Park. This river cruise is a highlight of the trip, offering opportunities to observe fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and impressive herds of elephants and Cape buffalo as they approach the river to drink. The cruise will return to Kasane at 12:30.
After the cruise, your guide will escort you to a table for a buffet lunch. Following lunch at 13:30, there will be a final shopping opportunity. Please ensure you have packed all your safari gear as recommended. You will then embark on a game drive into Chobe National Park. Before entering the park, your guide will provide another safety briefing. The game drive will take you along the Chobe Riverbanks, where you may witness majestic elephants cooling off in the river or crossing to Impalila Island in search of food.
As the sun sets over Chobe, you will be driven to your camp, where you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink. Enjoy a warm shower to revitalise yourself before a sumptuous bush dinner cooked on site, with a glass of wine included with your meal. The evening will be filled with captivating stories around the campfire, after which you will retire to bed at 22:00.
Day Two
At 05:00, your guide will wake you with warm water poured into your basin and a friendly Botswana “Dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a continental breakfast, you will set off on a game drive towards the park exit. This early morning drive is an excellent opportunity to spot big cats such as lions and leopards, which are often active at this time of day. You will be dropped off at your respective borders by 09:00.
